The Calasanz "Sponsor A Boxer" Program

In June, 2005, we will open an exclusive boxing and kickboxing club in a second location in downtown Norwalk. This facility will be used to train professional boxers and kickboxers and host regional events and tournaments. There is tremendous demand for such a center, which will draw serious amateur and professional boxers from Westchester through Connecticut.

Right now, Calasanz is promoting and doing the "physical" for three professional boxers - each having great potential to become champions! And Calasanz is also sponsoring one amateur boxer.

The cost of sponsoring and training these fighters is significant. Therefore, we are looking for supplemental sponsorship dollars to defray some of our costs. By co-sponsoring a Calasanz boxer for as little as $10 a month, private individuals as well as local companies can take an integral role in bringing professional and amateur boxing to our area in an environment that follows the Calasanz philosophy of non-brutality, honor, respect and the positive evolution of the body, mind and spirit.

You can be part of this movement by sponsoring a fighter at a minimum of $10 per month and as high as you want. Individuals and companies will receive:

  1. Complimentary tickets to professional and amateur boxing events where Calasanz sponsored boxers are performing.
  2. Your name and/or company listed on the Calasanz Website (as a sponsor)
  3. Autographed press photo of you sponsored boxer

Calasanz Physical Arts to Conduct Lecture and Live Demonstration on July 1st

The demands and pressures of today's workplace leave you little time for taking care of your body. You may have concentrated so much effort in developing your professional career that you neglected your physical fitness in the process. You may have the desire to get into shape, but find that you lack motivation. You may find the prospect of attending a traditional health club boring, uninspiring or intimidating. The thought of repetitive weight training and endless hours on cardio equipment provide little or no incentive for you to achieve your fitness goals. Then consider Calasanz Physical Arts.

Calasanz Physical Arts is one of the country's premiere martial arts training facilities. The reason behind its great success is the Calasanz System, which blends traditional martial arts and fitness training into a unique and exciting exercise alternative. Along with increased strength, endurance and flexibility, practical self-defense is also learned in a non-competitive, no-contact environment. Those who have trained in the Calasanz System have found that their fitness levels improve very quickly, while their stress levels decreases just as rapidly. Students learn that true power and energy comes from learning to activate the "chi" or vital life force through proper breathing and movement. By integrating breathing with movement, the student learns to balance body and mind. The end result is a positive attitude, confidence and vitality.

On Thursday, July 1, 2004, instructors from Calasanz Physical Arts will be conducting a lecture and demonstration on the benefits of martial arts training for The FINE Group (www.ariesmart.com/fine). The FINE Group meeting takes place from 9:00AM to 12:00PM in the McManus Room of the Westport Library. The live Calasanz Physical Arts demonstration will take place from 9:45AM to 10:00AM. For those who cannot attend the demonstration but would like to learn more about Calasanz Physical Arts, you can call them at 203.847.6528 or visit them at their website, www.calasanz.com.
